Attending your first appointment can cause anxiety for some. To help ease your worries and make you feel more comfortable, here is what you can expect for your first appointment from start to finish.
Locating the Office
The office is located at 42217 Ann Arbor Rd E, Plymouth, MI 48170 (Located in the PMC Center Plaza)
You can enter off Ann Arbor Rd. or us the back parking lot off of General Dr.

Our office is located in the large L shaped office building left of Subway. You can enter the building at the main entrance located in the corner of the “L” as noted by the cream colored peak design over the doorway.

Once you enter, please use the stairs or elevator to go to the top floor. Turn left and we are at the very end of the hallway. The halls have energy saving lights and will automatically turn on once you enter the hallway. When you enter the office, please have a seat in the waiting room to the left and I will get you at your appointment time. There is no check in process.
What to Expect in Session
The first session is used for us to get to know each other. I will ask questions and guide the conversation, so there is no need to worry about knowing what to say. We will talk about what is going on that has you seeking therapy as well as your personal and family history. It will feel like a casual conversation and will flow naturally. It will not feel like a sterile interview with a list of questions I am asking. If at any point you feel uncomfortable about a question or topic, please let me know and we will move on to something else.
At the end of the session I will ask for your feedback on weather you feel comfortable moving forward with therapy or address any questions/concerns you may have. We will discuss insurance/payment for your sessions and schedule your next appointment if you’d like to do so.
