Get to Know Me…
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in 2008. I have since worked with individuals of all ages and families to address areas of substance abuse as well as various mental health issues. Some areas of interest I have include working with adolescents/teens and adults to address depression, anxiety, school issues, family issues and low self-esteem.
My therapeutic approach is individualized and I like to meet each client where they are at mentally and emotionally when entering therapy to ensure their treatment is effective. I believe that flexibility with interventions and therapy modalities help build a therapeutic relationship and empower people to make positive changes to enhance their quality of life.
My sessions are very relaxed and personal. I want you to feel just as comfortable coming to therapy as you would having coffee with a friend. Feeling comfortable is essential for progress and I make it a priority!
